IVAN Desktop (Enhanced UI)

IVAN Desktop brings the classic graphical roguelike Iter Vehemens ad Necem to a modern, responsive desktop interface while preserving the original game, art, rules, and unforgiving spirit.

Enhanced desktop

• Icon-based inventory with item details and keyboard navigation.
• Readable equipment slots, item comparisons, history, story, help, controls, map notes, and grouped options.
• Clickable prompts, confirmation dialogs, remappable controls, and an inclusion-list editor.
• A compact status dashboard keeps health, mana, gold, attributes, location, time, conditions, and burden visible.
  
• Mouse support covers actions, menus, inventory, equipment, map inspection, prompts, options, and controls.
  

Compatibility

The Enhanced UI is the default. A restart-only Classic UI fallback retains IVAN's existing window-size and graphics-scale behavior. Simulation, saves, and game rules are unchanged.

Install

Download the Windows ZIP, extract the entire folder, and run ivan.exe. Keep the executable beside the Script, Graphics, Music, and Sound folders.
